Buggies and Trollies in winter

Normally during the winter there are times that groundstaff ban buggies on any of the courses if there is a Health & Safety concern, this normally includes all ride on buggies. Dependent upon the severity of the conditions there is normally one of the courses available for hire buggies or ride on buggies available.

Normally if the Admirals course is not available, buggies can use the Commanders courses. In more severe slippery conditions if neither of those courses are deemed safe then the Captains Course should be available as there are no slopes on that course.

The decision to impose Health & Safety restrictions, on motorised ride on machinery, isn’t an exact science but the staff who apply them do so in the interest of the members and customers of Oakmere Golf Club.

In continual wet weather sometimes there will also be a requirement to ban electric or pull trollies, to prevent muddy areas so as to maintain the condition of the course. However, as above, there would normally be a course available to use them.
